Objective of the JobThe Senior Director is responsible for leading the sales team to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and overseeing the performance of the sales department. This includes managing the sales life cycle for customers in specific industry segments by identifying sales opportunities, implementing and executing solicitation, closing on customer contracts, maximizing profitability and delivering on customer service targets, programs and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops, communicates, and leads market specific product and customer strategies for the division ensuring alignment with enterprise.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships at all levels of the customer organization.
  • Manages contract negotiations, and develops plans to satisfy contractual obligations.
  • Promotes BRSW capabilities, advantages, and business strategy in the market.
  • Drives supply chain development, management, and demands for respective products.
  • Assists with the planning and forecasting activities.
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance, Product Development, Customer Technical Service, Logistics, Finance and Operations to communicate customer expectations, feedback, business objectives.
  • Evaluates market trends,competitor activities, and new products to adjust strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Analyzes profitability for book of business and refines as necessary.
  • Monitors performance metrics and provides feedback to senior management.
  • Oversees activities related to sales budget.
  • Drives continuous improve initiaties to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Leads, mentors, and manages supporting team.
  • Supports as needed any other commercial functions.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering/technology or closely related field.
  • 5+ years relevant manufacturing industry work experience.
  • High level of problem solving, technical, and analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven record of accomplishments in sales, building and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Effectively interprets and makes business decisions using financial information.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to meet goals and objectives.
  • Aptitude to navigate ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated ability communicate calmly, clearly and persuasively in all situations.
  • Demonstrated group presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in sales software tools.
  • Projects professional appearance, behavior, manners and etiquette.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.

  • Preferred:
  • 10+ years relevant steel industry work experience preferred.
  • Masters degree in business or related field.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, business terms, and inco terms
  • Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsThis position requires a flexible schedule. Hours could include overtime, nights, weekends as well as travel with little or no advance notice. This position has the ability to work in hot/cold manufacturing environments. Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position supervises others.
