YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior Developer, you will join our dynamic data and analytics team, taking ownership of designing, developing, and implementing robust data pipelines, analytical and reporting solutions. Your contributions will empower the organization with cutting-edge data insights and drive innovation across various business functions.

Currently, we have multiple data platforms due to our ongoing journey of mergers and acquisitions. This means that things are always changing and evolving. However, we are embarking on a journey to build a new platform to serve as a single data system for all our reporting needs in the future. This provides the opportunity to learn existing data tools and processes while being at the forefront of shaping the development and implementation process for the new platform.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop and implement data solutions. You will operate within an agile setting to manage both strategic and tactical aspects of data and analytics solutions delivery. Your background in data and analytics solutions will be key in driving impactful outcomes. Ideally, you are a self-starter with a proven track record in similar roles at other data-driven organizations.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Work on data analytics, and reporting solutions.
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable data architectures within the SQL Server, Microsoft BI, and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Collaborate closely with Analysts, Architects, and Operations teams to manage, develop, and deliver data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design and implement data warehousing solutions that support scalable and efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Create and manage reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and cleansing processes.
  • Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and develop customized reports and dashboards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering, warehousing, and analytics to continuously improve solutions.
  • Take ownership of all aspects of development, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Proactively anticipate issues and provide solutions.
  • Actively participate in technical discussions.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications in a data analytics field are a definite plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing data engineering solutions.
  • Experience in developing data and database-oriented solutions to solve complex business problems.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying data projects from end to end.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL tooling, databases, analytics, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Excellent SQL skills are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure data services like Azure Data Factory.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies like Microsoft Fabric.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions to deliver against tight timelines while managing risk.
  • Ability to propose optimization solutions to improve data processes and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience working in an agile setting to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
