Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Job Functions
Oversees the analysis, management, and performance of health information data to aid patient care.
Directly leads and supervises Information Technology staff
Evaluation of service needs and oversight of third-party MSP support.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess IT needs and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stays abreast of emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT to recommend innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement.
Ensure systems are compliant with relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and industry standards.
Prioritizes inquiries from users on a variety of software and hardware issues.
Oversees network systems, installation of new hardware and modification of existing hardware, and related network software and applications.
Evaluates current technology use and needs of the company and recommends software and hardware improvements.
Maintains current knowledge of system hardware, networks and software systems implemented; strives to assess near term opportunities for improvement and required migrations.
Develops, maintains, and oversees IT Budget.
Oversees backup, security, and user help systems.
Remains current on advances in technology.
Prioritizes and assigns team members to IT projects.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to lead a diverse group of individuals around strategic goals and accountabilities.
Thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, network devices, and peripherals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding of IS principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures.
Strong technical background with experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work.
Ability to explain technical problems and offer solutions to those without technological training.
Ability to work with other Managers and Directors on issues in a professional and productive manner.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and using reports to solve problems.
Ability to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Credentials and Experience:
Master's Degree in related field preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Programming, or related field required.
At least five years of experience in healthcare IT.
Proven leadership experience, including managing a team of IT professionals.
Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements, particularly HIPAA.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit (frequent), stand (frequent), walk (frequent), bend over (frequent) and type on keyboard (frequent)
Must be able to independently lift 25 lbs. (occasional)
Ability to communicate in person and by phone (frequent)
Physical ability to retrieve and file records in a (6-7 shelf) file cabinet (occasional)

Work Environment:
Clinical office environment with numerous employees
