Job Description:
The Principal Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the administration of SharePoint Online sites. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operations, maintenance, and support for all production, pre-production, test, development, and disaster recovery servers. Responsibilities include but is not limited to managing the appropriate configuration baseline of site collections, software applications, and security compliance, working with monitoring tools, assess and interprets the logical and physical requirements of systems and applications in relation to hardware, software and operational needs, implement efficiencies through automation (able to leverage scripting through PowerShell, Power CLI, VBScript, and batch to automate processes), and investigates new technology and provide recommendations on system improvements and life cycle planning.

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Alexandria VA
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Informatics, Engineering) or equivalent is required
- 7 years in an IT systems environment (or Master's degree and 5 years experience)
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with problem-solving aptitude
- SQL query writing skills required
- Ability to work independently to uncover and implement innovative solutions to complex problems
- System Administration
- Cloud Administration (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Windows Operating Environment
- Scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Meet with business users throughout the organization to understand their business objectives, technical challenges, and data needs and develop a plan to solve their problems
- Design and support integrations and process flows from external systems
- Proactively identify improvement or optimization opportunities based on industry best practices, and present recommendations in a group setting
- Provide recommendations on design, configuration and testing of SharePoint Online platform
- Develop and maintain system level artifacts, such as flow diagrams, process diagram, and current and proposed state diagrams
- Develop a support structure that ensures optimal performance and timely issue resolution
- Support SharePoint Online integration with Power Platform including Dataverse and Power Automate workflows.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Assist with sprint/working sessions, release planning, training, maintaining a roadmap, and future direction
- Manage system issues appropriately and escalate when needed
