Global Road Safety's (GRS) mission is to "lead the world's safest transportation network, protecting the lives of people on road everywhere." GRS supports all road transportation business lines and units globally where Amazon performs logistics services.

We are seeking someone to join the Global Road Safety Team as a Program Manager, Road Safety Investigations. This role will focus on enhancing road safety through the investigation and analysis of on-road vehicle crashes and outside-the-vehicle injuries. From these incidents, we identify trends and key risks to support Global Road Safety in developing data-driven strategies to prevent incidents. As Amazon continues to innovate, our investigation and assurance processes must evolve with the business to maintain the highest safety standards that impact transporters, our customers, and the communities we serve.

This is a high-impact role that combines safety investigation, data analysis, and program management. The position requires someone who can balance tactical investigation work with strategic thinking and stakeholder management. The role will drive safety improvements across Amazon's global transportation network. Strong analytics and safety experience will be valued in an applicant.

Key job responsibilities
\tLead and improve safety investigations for vehicle crashes and out-of-vehicle injuries in last mile and middle mile operations.
\tDevelop investigation processes and provide guidance to stakeholders across the business.
\tEnsure compliance with laws, regulations, and business guidelines in all investigations.
\tDetermine incident root causes and implement corrective actions.
\tAnalyze safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources effectively.
\tConduct and validate risk assessments and safety audits.
\tAnalyze diverse data sources to identify trends and provide proactive safety recommendations.
\tCommunicate findings clearly to stakeholders and manage necessary escalations.
\tDrive continuous process improvement in safety practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of program or project management experience

- Bachelor's Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with SQL

- Experience in data mining

- 2+ years on-road safety incident investigations experience.

- Road Safety Professional (RSP1, RSP2), Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

- Excellent written/verbal communication skills that convey complex ideas in a simplified manner.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

- Lead and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholder.

- Collaborate within a highly cross-functional organization; including international partners.

- Regulatory experience within US (e.g. OSHA, DOT) and other geographies (CA, EU, IN, JP).

- Leadership experience in drivers training, program development, and fleet operations.
