Position Summary
The Instructor & Operations Associate will be responsible for delivering teaching Tutorverse curricula in both group and one-on-one settings (roughly 40% of total annual time). The Associate will also assist with the successful implementation of operations and administration associated with educational programming (roughly 60% of total annual time).
The ideal candidate has experience teaching both math and ELA test prep and will bring their inexhaustible energy and positive disposition into both the classroom and the office.

Responsibilities
- Implement Tutorverse test prep math and ELA curricula for middle and high school students in after-school and weekends throughout Manhattan locations (in-person) and online (remote).
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in similar content areas throughout Manhattan locations and online.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships and rapport with parents, students, staff, and partners, maintaining a focus on client service.
- Assist with the implementation, documentation, and improvement of key business processes, including data aggregation, analysis, reporting, and action.
Minimum Qualifications
Interested? Awesome! We're looking for someone who possesses:
- at least a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, preferably in education or a related field;
- 3+ years' experience teaching in both in-person and online classroom settings;
- 3+ years' previous experience teaching the SHSAT, ISEE, and/or SAT;
- ability to teach in-person in Manhattan;
- subject-matter expertise in elementary, middle, and high school subjects, including knowledge of grade-level standards;
- excellent communication, collaboration, and people skills and instincts;
- inexhaustible drive, energy, enthusiasm, and mental agility;
- proven verbal and written communication skills, including a thorough command of the English language
- intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace;
- minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute
Preferred Qualifications
Extra credit for someone who has:
- 5+ years' experience teaching in both in-person and online classroom settings;
- administrative experience managing classroom rosters, student information and data, and liaising with parents, students, and partners;
- demonstrable project management skills and commitment to quality and timeliness;
- unexpired NYS teaching certification; unexpired NYC DOE/DOH fingerprinting and authorization
- expert-level proficiency in MS Office;
