About our Facilities Manager

Works with the Director of Security and Safety, an others to identify current and future facilities requirements. Maintains a schedule of lease renewal, renews leases as appropriate and interacts with landlords to ensure PPGNHAIK requirements are met. Works with department managers and others to ensure good condition of facilities and make improvements where identified. Solicits bids, oversees vendors and staff, and manages costs within budget.

What you will be doing!
  • In conjunction with the Security and Safety Director, works with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and others, to identify current and future facilities requirements within new or existing communities in the affiliate. Recommends options including lease versus buy.
  • Maintains a schedule of upcoming lease renewals and coordinates with relevant departments in either renewing or relocating.
  • For leased facilities, works with Chief Legal Counsel and others to negotiate cost effective leases that meet PPGNHI requirements.
  • Interacts with landlords regarding leased facility maintenance, mechanical support (electrical, heating, and plumbing) and all external lighting and access.
  • Ensures the consistent good condition of all physical plants. This includes janitorial services, the scheduling of carpeting, painting and any other remodelling or repairs in coordination with appropriate departmental representatives.
  • Responds to requests from department managers to assess the feasibility of proposed construction projects in owned facilities. Identifies all operational impacts to the department and works collaboratively to develop project requirements.
  • Solicits, negotiates and review bids and contracts received from outside consultants or vendors.
  • Identifies and develops relationships with support contract services (plumbing, heating, etc.) for all health center locations, and negotiates contracts for housekeeping and maintenance services.
  • Prepares preliminary cost estimates and develops project budgets and other necessary documentation required for approval.
  • Administers, monitors, and inspects all work in progress. Ensures quality and compliance with plans, specifications, regulatory codes, budgets, and project timeline/schedule.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local facility related legal requirements by adhering to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • In support of the emergency preparation and business continuity plan, prepares in advance for inclement weather, emergencies, and natural disasters by establishing vendor support and ordering supplies
  • Respond to emergency situations involving facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of five years' experience in facilities management, construction management or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years management experience

Experience developing budgets and managing projects

Vendor and vendor contract management experience

Experience with building automation systems (HVAC, fire, security, etc.)

Other:

Ability to travel, primarily in-state travel with some out of state travel.

Must have access to car. Valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance required.

Salary Range:

PPGNHAIK's compensation Philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the paygrade. The pay range for this position is $76,091- $126,818 annually

Position Type:

This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Exempt
