Senior Firewall Engineer

Job Description

The Sr. Firewall Engineer will be responsible for creating and managing security rules and firewall configurations, ensuring that the firewall systems and network infrastructure are secure and optimized. This role will also involve supporting Panorama for centralized firewall management, and designing and architecting advanced firewall and network security solutions at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Firewall Security Rules:
• Develop and implement security rules to ensure network integrity and data protection.
• Firewall Configuration:
• Configure and manage firewall settings to protect enterprise networks.
• Panorama Support:
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Panorama to manage Palo Alto firewalls effectively.
• Firewall/Network Design & Architecture (Senior Level):
• Take lead on designing network security architecture and implementing solutions for large-scale enterprise networks.
• Change Implementation:
• Implement changes quickly and effectively to keep network security operations running smoothly.
• Troubleshooting:
• Solve complex technical issues related to firewall configurations, network security, and routing.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.
• Senior-level expertise in network and firewall design and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with static routing and other networking protocols.
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex firewall/networking issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing network requirements.
• Proven ability to work in large-scale network environments.

Education: Bachelors Degree
