Today, we're tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what's never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world's best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you'll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.

NVIDIA is seeking a visionary and technically grounded Cable & Connector Architect to define and drive the future of our high-speed (>=100Gbps per lane) interconnect solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong Mechanical Engineering understanding, an Electrical Engineering background, and deep experience in high-speed connector and cable manufacturing. You will lead roadmap strategies by balancing requirements with innovation to deliver outstanding designs.

What you'll be doing:
  • Define and lead the product roadmap for high-speed cables and connectors, rooted in state-of-the-art technical understanding and forward-thinking vision
  • Specify clear, actionable requirements while enabling space for innovation across mechanical and signal integrity domains
  • Work closely with customers and vendors to understand challenges, capture insights, and drive alignment from concept through execution
  • Navigate the ME/SI tradeoff space, ensuring robust mechanical designs while respecting signal integrity constraints
  • Lead or support root cause analysis of mating and mechanical issues, and continuously refine design for manufacturability and reliability
  • Drive fast-turn prototyping and MP cycle time optimization
  • Encourage internal and external collaborators with our vision - and deliver on it with clarity, precision, and excellence!
  • Travel to vendors, manufacturers, and customers (20%) to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment

What we need to see:
  • B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, with strong working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years experience in high-speed cable and connector design and manufacturing
  • Proven ability to lead product roadmap development and balance technical tradeoffs between signal integrity and mechanical constraints
  • Deep understanding of mating issues, connector mechanics, and high-speed performance limitations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with customers, vendors, and internal R&D/engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and collaborator management skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Background in SI/ME co-design for high-speed (>=100Gbps per lane) interconnects
  • Familiarity with high-speed design tools, FEA/thermal/mechanical modeling, and lab measurement techniques
  • Previous ownership of product lifecycle from concept through manufacturing
  • Passion for innovation and industry leadership
