Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive growth within the 3PL/fulfillment sector.
- Leverage your existing book of business to generate immediate opportunities for new client acquisition.
- Identify and pursue high-value prospects in e-commerce, retail, and other industries requiring fulfillment services.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions that align with their business goals.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to identify additional opportunities for value-added services.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead the sales team by mentoring junior sales representatives and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery for clients.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Track key performance metrics such as revenue growth, pipeline activity, and conversion rates.
- Prepare detailed sales reports for executive leadership, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in sales within the 3PL/fulfillment industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth through strategic client acquisition.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of 3PL operations, fulfillment processes (e.g., warehousing, order processing), supply chain management, and transportation logistics.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
Core Competencies
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close high-value deals.
- Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbalwith a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Strategic thinker capable of identifying market opportunities and developing actionable plans to capitalize on them.
Preferred Attributes
- Established network within the e-commerce or retail sectors is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with digital freight platforms or fulfillment technology solutions is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $150,000$180,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
- Total Compensation: Competitive commission structure based on individual performance metrics; potential earnings up to $250,000+. Equity in the company.
