Description:

Scope:

  • Researching for the best co-mans for Nature's Path to partner with, taking into consideration production capabilities, capacity and volume allocation
  • Creating and managing contracts for co-manufactured products, by establishing SLAs with NP partners
  • Leading Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives with co-manufacturers, which includes traveling to visit supplier's manufacturing facilities
  • Creating and implementing contingency plans for critical products
  • Working with cross-functional departments to qualify co-manufacturers for new innovations
  • Conducting Quarterly/Bi-Monthly/Monthly Performance Reviews with key co-manufacturers
  • Managing strategic sourcing (supplier and industry analysis (benchmarks, cost structure analysis) for best source or new co-mans in conjunction with R&D and Regulatory functions
  • Recommending best suppliers available in the market, aligned to Nature's Path's goals, mission, and values
  • Advising leadership on any risk to the NP business, such as inventory shorts, price changes or ingredient restrictions for example
  • Working with Co-Mans to manage and control inventory levels for raw materials/packaging as well as finish goods
  • Working with suppliers to make sure corrective actions and root causes for defective products are dealt with on a timely manner
  • Searching and implementing cost improvement based on supplier efficiency, use of alternate parts, leveraging purchasing power, etc.
  • Working closely with the Product and Innovation teams to support on co-manufacturers search for new products
  • Advising management of lead times, costs and MOQs required to obtain critical trials and first productions


Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized university or college with specialization in Materials Management, Procurement, or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Packaging, Supply Chain, Food Science, or other considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working as part of cross-functional teams
  • Thorough knowledge of MRP principles and applications and a demonstrated ability in key software applications such as EXCEL, Power-point, and Word


Notes:

  • This is a hybrid role based out of our Richmond, BC HQ and will pay a base salary between $75,000 - $95,000 depending on experience (plus bonus)
