This role is responsible for managing outsourced IT services, leading internal technology initiatives, supporting data strategy execution, and ensuring systems are responsive to organizational needs. This position blends technical oversight with collaborative leadership and operational execution to ensure EmployIndy's systems are scalable, secure, and impactful.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Technology Operations Management - Oversee day-to-day technology operations by managing outsourced IT providers, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and responsive to staff needs. Lead vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor service performance. (30% of time)
- Data Management and Insights - Implement data governance practices and reporting systems that inform decision-making and measure impact across programs. Collaborate with program and leadership teams to align data strategy with operational needs. (25% of time)
- CRM and Systems Optimization - Lead the continued optimization of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM in partnership with external vendors and internal users. Provide direction on CRM enhancements and integrations to support cross-team collaboration and service delivery. (20% of time)
- Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Budgeting - Implement cybersecurity protocols and policies to protect organizational data and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Develop and manage the technology budget, aligning investments with organizational priorities. (15% of time)
- End-User Enablement and Training - Equip staff to effectively use core platforms including Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive). Provide training, documentation, and guidance to support user adoption and efficiency. (10% of time)

Requirements
Job Requirements
The following qualifications represent the minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses, certifications, or other knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field required. A master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CompTIA, Microsoft, or data analytics) preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive technology experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role with responsibility for vendor management, infrastructure oversight, and data systems. Experience in the nonprofit or public sector strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional technology initiatives and aligning systems with organizational goals.
- Certifications/Licenses: Relevant certifications in data management, cybersecurity, or systems administration are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Dynamics CRM. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data systems, cybersecurity best practices, and vendor management.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, adapt to evolving needs, and lead cross-functional efforts.
