$40 - $45 an hour
Position Summary: The Safety Manager is crucial in safeguarding the well-being of our staff, clients, and the community. Your key duties include creating, executing, and supervising safety measures and regulations and ensuring that all projects and activities comply with safety standards implemented by the company, federal, and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADOSH, NEC, NFPA 70E, and other applicable regulations and standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies, programs, and procedures.
Lead regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
Maintain all required documentation for compliance, including accident reports, training logs, and audit results.
Plan and conduct safety orientation and ongoing training programs for all employees in partnership with the training department.
Stay up-to-date on best practices, regulatory changes, and industry trends; update training programs accordingly.
Manage certifications, including CPR/ First Aid, OSHA 10/30, and specialized electrical safety certifications.
Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and unsafe practices; determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain incident logs and ensure timely reporting to appropriate agencies when required.
Communicate findings with management and field teams and implement follow-up training or procedural changes.
Build a strong culture of safety awareness, responsibility, and continuous improvement.
Serve as a coach and resource for all levels of staff to promote proactive safety behaviors.
Lead and mentor the Safety Department staff, including Safety Coordinators or Officers, if applicable.
Collaborate with Operations and Project Management teams during project planning to address site-specific safety needs.
Attend leadership meetings to advise on risk management and company safety initiatives.
Maintain 100% compliance with all OSHA, ADOSH, NEC, and NFPA 70E regulations.
Reduce recordable incidents
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and NFPA 70E electrical safety
Ability to lead, train, and motivate teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Ability to identify unsafe situations or potentially unsafe situations.
Thorough understanding of health and safety laws.
Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Strong attention to detail
Able to lift 25lbs and climb up and down a ladder safely.
Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
Committed to a minimum of a 40-hour work week.
Ability to work in and around restricted/ confined spaces
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management, preferably within the commercial electrical, construction, or similar industries.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) preferred.
OSHA 500 or 510 certification strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in safety management, preferably within the commercial electrical. Construction or similar industries.
Proven leadership experience managing safety programs across multiple project sites.
Experience with Arizona safety regulations and environmental health requirements.
