This position exists to serve priesthood leaders by providing temples, headquarters, and other facilities for their use to help bring souls unto CHRIST.
This person oversees the work, personnel and technology in the Physical Facilities Learning Center which provides consulting and products and services to train, certify and enable our customers. Major customers include General Authorities, PFD leadership and staff, DTA's, and area, regional and field personnel in all domestic and international areas. Other customers could include local priesthood leaders, members, service missionaries and other church department employees. Customers expect a wide range of training material offered in various formats and technologies as well as documentation and other content to help them learn and perform their jobs/callings more effectively and successfully.

Qualifications
Requires a master's degree in Instructional Science, Instructional Design, Education or similar field and a minimum of 10 years progressive experience in skills training and evaluation. Extensive experience in developing and managing worldwide learning, competency and certification strategies. Ability to utilize various content formats and technologies to create, manage and deliver content. Experience in leading instructional designers and writers in various disciplines of developing and preparing world-class learning content and experiences. Ability to organize and prioritize the work and meet specific deadlines. Ability to analyze employee work performance, identify training needs and develop appropriate solutions. Proven and demonstrable improvements in employee performance resulting from the training and content provided.

Responsibilities
- 50% - Lead the work to develop and deploy a competency-based certification plan and process, the training programs, content and tools for our customers, and provide consulting services to department leadership and staff.
- 20% - Fulfill the product management role for various technology products and services used to develop, deliver and maintain training and other content.
- 15% - Supervise and develop the team of instructional designers and a technical writer.
- 10% - Define and oversee the Learning Center vision and direction.
- 5% - Complete other assignments as received.
