Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in the construction industry? AEC Developments is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Superintendent to manage sites within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Reporting to the Director of Operation, the Site Supervisor will be the primary point of responsibility at your assigned construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating construction activities, instilling a culture of health and safety on site, and tracking project schedules to ensure progress is being made. This role involves client-facing interactions and maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors, designers, and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Implement and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
- Utilize comprehensive project deliverables expertise to plan, coordinate, and execute tasks effectively.
- Track project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are being met.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet the project specifications.
- Complete project related site documentation such as Daily Reports, Safety Inspection, photos, orientation, etc.
- Address unforeseen issues during construction, including investigation of damage, accidents, or delays, etc., and take appropriate action.
- Liaison with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with the building code and regulations.
- Research cost-saving methods and provide solutions to potential construction problems.
- Assist with various tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors or senior team members to support the overall success of the team and company objectives.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to our company values of quality, client focus, teamwork, sustainability, and community, integrating these principles into daily work practices and interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of construction supervision, site management, or related experience.
- Experience managing projects in the range of $5M to $20M.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and OHSA guidelines, including understanding of MOL regulations and company health and safety policies.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, the ability to anticipate constructability issues, and provide solutions to keep project momentum.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and recommend process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore construction management software.
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of clientele, from subcontractors to owners.
- Willingness to perform physical construction tasks as needed.
