Description:

The Primary Purpose of the SOS Director of Operations is to bring unity, efficiency and optimal productivity to the Drivers, Shop, Office and Transfer Station Departments. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic team leader who feels as comfortable out in the field with the drivers as behind a computer analyzing data and proposing more efficient options. Areas of accountability include: route logistics and efficiency, fleet management, and team training. The position is part of the Core Executive Team, reporting directly to the General Manager, and will directly supervise the Drivers Managers, Transfer Station Manager, Office Manager and Shop Manger.

Requirements

Candidate competencies include:

  • Ability to analytically approach day-to-day operations and develop efficient procedures.
  • Management of critical conversations and create win/win outcomes
  • Positive Team Leadership Experience
  • Considerable experience in either the Solid Waste Industry or Driver Team Logistics.
  • High Level use of MS Office Excel.
  • Strong Writing Competencies.
  • Commitment to Excellence in all work.


Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelors degree
  • 5 years Leadership Experience in Management


This is a Full-Time, Salaried, Over-Time Exempt position. Scheduled hours are based upon the needs of the position but require core office hours aligning with the hours of the direct reports. The position is based out of our Grants Pass office but will require travel to all service locations including Josephine, Jackson and Douglas Counties.
