Description:
The Tech Licensing Business Development (TLBD) team is a global subject-matter expert in licensing (software, content/data, etc.) across Amazon. TLBD drives high-quality licensing negotiations, manages strategic partnerships, contributes forward-looking insights, and surfaces innovations that enable Amazon to delight our customers in ever-evolving ways, with a focus on Devices and Services and AGI.
The agreements and initiatives TLBD drives range from complex new technology license and support deals with unique and creative business models to basic agreements and amendments as our business needs expand. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating highly ambiguous environments and have 1/ experience working with technical products and teams, and 2/ excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills.
Key job responsibilities
-\tLead cross-functional efforts across Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and senior management to negotiate licenses and drive strategic initiatives in support of multiple Amazon product teams
-\tDrive quarterly roadmap reviews with internal and external partner teams
-\tManage executive- and working-level relationships with key licensing partners
-\tSeek innovative ideas and technologies to further product team goals
-\tDrive process-improvements across the team
- This role in particular will be focused on Information licensing partnerships
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Exceptional ability to communicate with and influence both technical and non-technical audiences verbally and in writing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
