Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Design electrical systems and prepare construction documents of varying complexity. Work with power, lighting, and distribution systems, as well as heat trace and chip manufacturing equipment installations. Prepare engineering studies for power and low voltage systems, evaluate capacities, and recommend corrections and upgrades. Perform short circuit and arc flash analyses, overcurrent protective device coordination, and review power quality and reliability. Design low voltage systems, including instrumentation and controls, telecommunications, life safety, and security systems. Coordinate with other engineering team members from various technical disciplines. Conduct site investigations to confirm and document field conditions and produce technical writing for engineering documents.
Responsibilities
Office and onsite at client locations occasionally. The team consists of 90 staff members with offices in Beaverton, Oregon, and Tempe, Arizona. Clients are world leaders in advanced technology and industrial production. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/hr.

- Work with power, lighting, and distribution systems, as well as heat trace and chip manufacturing equipment installations.
- Prepare engineering studies for power and low voltage systems that survey existing conditions, evaluate capacities, and make recommendations for corrections and upgrades.
- Perform short circuit and arc flash analyses, overcurrent protective device coordination, and review power quality and reliability.
- Design low voltage systems, including instrumentation and controls, telecommunications, life safety, and security systems.
- Coordinate with other engineering team members from various technical disciplines.
- Conduct site investigations to confirm and document field conditions.
- Produce technical writing for engineering documents.
- Experience as an independent designer/engineer.
- Understanding of basic NEC requirements, including electrical clearances, circuit sizing, de-rating, motor circuit design, transformer feeder design, and separation of class 1/2/3 wiring.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. EasyPower and SKM experience is a plus.
- BSEE or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- AutoCAD or Revit proficiency.
- EIT/PE registration is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and follow.
- Highly organized with a general sense of responsibility and follow-through.
- Dedicated, committed, results-oriented, with an interest in professional growth.
- Ability to learn quickly and grasp new concepts, especially as they relate to engineering and construction.
- Desire to obtain a PE license.
- Professional licensure encouragement for all degreed employees.
