The Financial Technology Manager leads a team responsible for the execution of company initiatives, enhancements, production support, and projects related to key financial systems, including Oracle EBS (ERP), Onbase, ChromeRiver, Unanet and other integrated systems. This role serves as the liaison between the Finance department and other teams (IT, HR, Procurement) to deliver system solutions and process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of financial technology professionals, including employee development, performance management, work assignment, and conducting regular team meetings. This includes recruitment, training, and retention strategies.
  • Support Agile teams (including Product Managers and Product Owners) in delivering financial system enhancements.
  • Manage budgeting and scheduling for financial system projects, monitoring progress, and providing input to address concerns and ensure project success.
  • Manage the functional business requirements for software implementations and upgrades, collaborating with IT to ensure timely delivery, adherence to standards, and proactive identification/resolution of integration issues.
  • Serve as the financial technical advisor, providing senior-level input and evaluation on initiatives impacting financial systems.
  • Manage all accounting-related production issues, liaising with the IT department.
  • Determine departmental objectives and requirements, organize projects, and develop standards and guidelines. Partner with Controller and Establish or update organizational policies, procedures, and strategic goals related to financial technology.
  • Partner with other department managers and leadership on initiatives impacting financial systems. Collaborate with HR, Procurement, and IT to achieve business objectives and defined business objectives.
  • Lead change management initiatives and provide training on financial support systems.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or relevant field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years (eleven (11) years strongly preferred) overall experience in finance technologies and/or system implementation. Additional credit may be given for public accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and cash forecasting.
  • Must be self-motivator, detailed, and well organized.
  • Must have a proven ability to translate analytical and data-driven results into key business and operational recommendations.
  • Must have strong client service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS or other financial systems.
  • Previous leadership and/or management experience is preferable.
  • Position requires the ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
  • Must possess strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
