Description:
- Manage all purchasing systems and procedures.
- Evaluate vendor quotes with appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques, ensuring quality, price, delivery and service.
- Manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems.
- Recruit and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a fair price, while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
- Review and resolve vendor claim and contracts for conformance to policy.
- Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legality, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
- Arrange buy-backs of surplus materials.
- Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and price, and prepare market analysis reports.
- All other relevant duties as required.
- Bachelor degree in any related business field (in lieu of education, 10+ years progressive procurement experience considered)
- Purchasing related certification preferred
- 7+ year(s) purchasing experience required, preferably in poultry industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient technology, computer, mathematical and analytical skills
- Detail oriented
