What you will do
Let's do this. Let's change the world.
We're on the hunt for a bold, visionary leader to shape the future of Amgen's technology and AI portfolio. As our head of Digital Product Management, you'll report directly to the SVP of AI and Data, and you'll play a critical role in advancing the technology transformation of Amgen's leading biotechnology stack, with accountabilities for enabling everything from better protein structure prediction to automated tools to power our manufacturing centers to creating the next generation of digital medicine capabilities for patients and providers. This role will own the implementation of the digital product operating model across the technology and AI & data organizations and our business units, creating common ways of working and accelerating the velocity and impact of our technology efforts. This role is built for someone who thrives in high-velocity environments, understands what it takes to ship great software, and leads with both heart and precision. You should be willing to challenge the status quo but also have a keen eye for key intersections for compliance and regulatory considerations in software development.
You'll be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership: Set the vision. Define the strategy. Lead the charge. In this role, you won't just steer digital product strategy-you'll architect the future of how Amgen builds and delivers technology. You'll lead from the front, championing a bold, user-centered vision that aligns with business priorities and redefines what's possible in a complex, fast-moving environment. You will be the driving force behind the digital product operating model that connects every technology team and business function. From how we prioritize work to how we build, ship, and scale-your playbook becomes the playbook. You'll standardize and evolve our rituals, tools, and traditions to unlock greater speed, clarity, and impact across the board. Most critically, you'll accelerate our ability to deliver data- and AI-powered solutions with precision and velocity. This is about enabling high-performance product development at global scale-and doing it in a way that creates measurable business value. You'll lead a world-class, globally distributed team and operate as a force multiplier across the organization.
Transform Ways of Working: Own the design and rollout of the digital product operating model across the AI & data and Technology organizations, establishing clear decision rights, ways of working, education and training, and monitoring and support. Drive improvements to executional velocity, impact, and budgetary ROI across the technology and AI portfolio, while developing standards for measurement, tracking, and adherence.
Product Portfolio Management: Own the full lifecycle of a diverse digital product portfolio, including establishing KPIs and measurement systems across our technology portfolio. Prioritize ruthlessly, balancing innovation with business impact. Ensure every product in flight is solving real problems, delighting users, and moving the needle. Make key decisions on trade-offs between cost, scope, and timelines for product delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Be the connective tissue between business, tech, design, and operations. Navigate complexity, translate vision into execution, and ensure customer needs are front and center in every decision.
Execution and Delivery: Lead product development through modern Agile practices. Roll up your sleeves when needed. Drive accountability, ship on time, and ensure quality. Use data and feedback loops to fine-tune products post-launch.
Compliance: Establish clear product launch and lifecycle management policies to ensure compliance, security, and regulatory and organizational standards, including ethnical AI and data privacy policies, partnering with our infrastructure and cybersecurity, legal, and other key teams.
