Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Description

The Test Engineer is responsible for establishing, implementing, and communicating product testing strategies for new and existing products. This role involves working closely with the New Product Development, Product Support, and Value Engineering teams to enhance product performance and overall quality. The Test Engineer will design and develop testing procedures, fixtures, and equipment requirements during the design phase of new products and prepare efficient test procedures for global use. The role requires vision and foresight to test the extremes of product design and use.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop testing procedures, fixtures, and equipment requirements during the design phase of new products.
  • Prepare efficient test procedures to be used globally.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, and Quality teams to translate customer needs into product testing procedures.
  • Work with the global Reliability Engineering team on product test methods, test fixtures, and equipment requirements, and manage test-site correlation within parallel NPD project schedules.
  • Support the Product Support team in designing and executing tests to replicate field failures and confirm performance improvements.
  • Proactively advise project teams on improving current testing methods.
  • Use statistical methods to interpret test data and make formal recommendations to product design teams.
  • Create documentation of test fixtures, theory of operation, and specifications.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and schedule implications.
  • Act as a technical resource to other departments to address and resolve test issues.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in test engineering and designing test fixtures.
  • Creating test plans for products.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW or Solidworks.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • 1+ year of experience working with test fixtures and creating test plans.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use statistical methods to interpret test data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work in a team environment alongside electrical engineers, automation engineers, and technicians. Collaborative and dynamic workplace focused on innovation and quality improvement.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $53.00/hr.
