Position Overview:The Director of Accounting & Finance (Director), reporting directly to the President, leads the day-to-day accounting and finance activities for Dover Health. In that capacity, the Director is responsible for leading and managing the accounting department, maintaining accurate financial records and orchestrating robust financial analyses and timely financial reporting. The Director will assist in the creation of business plans and financial projections and conduct critical analyses of financial and operational performance as compared to projections. The Director works with Executive Directors and Operations team members to understand business trends, identifies key drivers of financial performance, and oversees the implementation of measurable strategies to achieve strong business outcomes. The Director will also be responsible for revenue cycle management and will directly supervise the Dover Health Accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely and effective audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial objectives with organizational goals.
- Utilize advanced financial software and databases for reporting and analysis, including but not limited to Netsmart, myUnity, and Datasoft.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Big 4 accounting firms is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software such as General Ledger and SQL.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
