Exceldor Cooperative, located in Mississauga, Ontario, is currently seeking to fill the role of a Planning Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing numerous 3rd-party Co-Packers across Canada, as well as internal direct reports from the Planning and Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will be innovative and committed to identifying and driving operational excellence, that will aid in strategically benefitting our Company's overall objectives.
  • Oversee relationship development with various 3PL Co-Packer Production facilities
  • Oversee daily communications with external Production facilities to review planned production versus actual production, to better understand and assist with variances
  • Oversee and support with daily/weekly reporting and analysis on sales trends, inventory rotation and shelf life, transportation comparisons, etc.
  • Oversee Inventory Management and development, including but not limited to; inbounds from various Co-Packers and Production facilities, outbound deductions for customer orders, investigation of inventory discrepancies, etc.
  • Ensures operational excellence in day-to-day Production Operations at the National level
  • Review and analyze sales and market trends to assist with understanding demand and planning
  • Supporting lead for Purchase Order submissions, inbound inventory tracking, and daily communications between internal and external departments in operational matters
  • Manage, track and report on various KPI's for key Production categories
  • In collaboration with Logistics, proactively address and resolve customer-related logistics issues to minimize company costs
  • Oversee and support with cross-analysis and validation between various Warehouse Portals, Excel documents, and JD Edwards, to ensure information reflected is accurate and in real-time
  • In collaboration with QA and R&D, ensure the follow-up of Exceldor quality standards (HACCP / SQF), participate in Co-Packer and Supplier audits and convey Exceldor's quality and safety standards
  • Key lead in collaboration with R&D to manage Product Transitions and ensure timelines are being adhered to by external stakeholders
  • Functional lead for Wal-Mart management, to support Customer Service in utilizing Retail Link data to ensure timely accuracy of customer inventory demands
  • Key lead for system updates reflecting product minimum shelf-life requirements per customer
  • Key lead in collaboration with Sales to further enhance our Production Planning tools and work towards go-live implementation in our system (JD Edwards)
  • Support with development and maintenance of internal reporting tools for both internal and external use
  • Identify, evaluate, enhance, and develop processes that benefit the overall Supply Chain
  • Implements a continuous improvement approach to reduce operating costs, while aiming to improve the level of service
  • Key lead for process improvement and system development (JD Edwards)
  • Excellent knowledge of products
  • Other duties as assigned

    CORE COMPETENCIES:
  • 5+ years of experience relevant to the position
  • Bilingualism in French deemed a strong asset
  • Proficiency in Retail Link deemed a strong asset
  • Possess extensive knowledge of EDI capabilities & functionalities
  • Bias for action, results oriented

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize & demonstrate initiative
