Job Summary
Job Summary:The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive healthcare services to oncology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers, the NP plays a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of cancer treatment.
Responsibilities
Salary: $135,000-$150,000
Salary may reflect bonuses and incentives

Job Summary
Job Summary:The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive healthcare services to oncology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers, the NP plays a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of cancer treatment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and health histories of oncology patients.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions related to oncology.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the oncology team.
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including blood work, imaging, and biopsies.
- Prescribe medications, including chemotherapy and supportive care treatments, within the scope of practice.
- Provide symptom management and supportive care, including pain, nausea, fatigue, and emotional distress.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, side effects, and preventive measures.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR.
- Assist in clinical trials and research activities as applicable.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
Salary: $135,000-$150,000

Qualifications
- Master s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program: Family or Adult Geriatrics
- Current New York State License as a Nurse Practitioner.
- National Board Certification require
- American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC)
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus
- EMR/EHR experience a plus
