About the role:
The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) Neuromuscular - Southeast is a field-based marketing, non-sales, position that serves as the key enabler that fosters meaningful engagement between Takeda and neuromuscular Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in ways that:
This role is within the Plasma Derived Therapies (PDT) Business Unit and supports chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) brand strategy. TLLs must demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge and emotional intelligence. Interactions are always within label and consistent with compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines. TLLs liaise between field and home office based colleagues and KOLs to seek to understand the neuromuscular therapeutic area, create a collaborative environment of translating insights, and generate a symbiotic platform for marketing strategies.
The TLL-Southeast position covers the following region: Florida (except panhandle), Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee. Candidate must reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 - $215,270.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. - Allow for gathering of meaningful insights
- Inform and advance marketing strategic initiatives
- Demonstrates Takeda's commitment to the neuromuscular space

KOL Engagement & Management
- Reinforce Takeda with the neuromuscular community
- Develop a KOL engagement strategy by identifying, profiling, cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with neuromuscular KOLs
- Develop and execute an engagement plan for top KOLs in the region
- Facilitate executive and/or internal engagements with Takeda
- Determine strategically aligned opportunities for partnership between KOLs and Takeda
Market Insights
- Seek to understand KOL perspectives on Takeda and neuromuscular competitive landscape through interactions and presence at regional and national congresses
- Collate & synthesize insights, identify trends, gaps, product & disease educational needs to support overall brand strategy
- Inform strategic decisions with the brand team
- Facilitate consultative engagements with KOLs to obtain feedback on brand-related marketing strategies/materials
- Participate as member of cross-functional brand team to provide feedback on strategy and tactical execution and novel programming ideas and concepts
- Partner on the facilitation and cross-functional planning, recruitment, and execution of regional and national advisory boards, capturing feedback to inform brand strategy and decisions
- Provide competitive intelligence gained through interactions to help shape strategy
Speaker Bureau and Contracted Activities
- Recruit and select KOLs/speakers for peer-to-peer programs, symposia, product theaters, training, and other contracted activities
- Assist with on-label training and development of speakers, consultants, and advisors with approved decks and materials
- Attend programming to observe, coach, and develop speakers where necessary to ensure compliant and effective execution of peer to peer speaker programs and contracted activities
- Partner with brand team on new content creation and content updates, as well as new and innovative programing ideas
- Partner with brand and franchise marketing, professional engagements, ethics & compliance, and agency partners on the execution of peer to peer and contracted activities
- Advocate on behalf of speakers and KOLs, and share feedback internally to continually improve process and experiences
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or specialty pharmacy
- Professional experience in one or more of the following: KOL/Thought Leader management experience, clinical education, marketing or clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area (CIDP), experience in creating or executing marketing strategies, plans and tactics
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams with a proven ability to influence without authority
- Excellent communication and the ability to effectively convey insights & ideas
- Demonstrated track record of leadership, adaptability and ability to work with minimal oversight
- Willingness to travel to various meetings and conferences that include overnight stays. Evening commitments and weekend travel may be required.
- Candidates should reside within the region and be located within a reasonable distance to a major airport.

Preferred Requirements
- Nursing or PharmD
- IVIG Infusion experience
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- 10+ years Insights experience
- Neuromuscular experience (specifically CIDP) and/or plasma derived therapies experience
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Significant travel including up to 75% of any month, including evenings and weekends
- Reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory
