About this Job
Eridan is currently building out our Engineering team. As a PCB Layout Design Engineer you will be responsible for our PCB design from layout to manufacturing. This involves having a full understanding of PCB layout techniques and processes in order to meet mechanical, electrical and manufacturing and cost requirements. You would also need to work with our vendors and form great relationships with them to ensure our designs are manufacturable and within their capabilities.
A successful PCB Layout Design Engineer must collaborate effectively and be able to think critically to work through and resolve problems as they arise. Given our anticipated growth, a PCB Layout Design at Eridan must be willing to learn new techniques quickly and be able to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. We look for individuals with persistence, curiosity, strong sense of urgency and excellent communication skills.

Salary Range
Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $115,000 and $140,000 plus stock options and benefits.

As our PCB Layout Design, you will:
- Perform complex internal layouts.
- Create Schematic Symbols and Footprints as needed.
- Work with vendors to improve our design rules to minimize DFx feedback.
- Work with Process Engineering and Production to select PCB and PCBA vendors.
- Contribute to overall process and workflow development.
Qualities of a Successful Candidate
- 5 years' experience performing layout with Altium
- Experience with mixed signal PCB design including RF up to 10GHz
- Experience with cost reduction of complex circuits and layouts
- PCB and PCBA vendor selection
- Matching Design tolerances/requirements to PCB fabrication vendor's capabilities
- Experience with developing component libraries utilizing datasheets and our IPC standards
- Experience with complex FPGA/BGA routing to include DDR4
- Knowledge of routing techniques/rules of thumb for signal/power integrity
- Experience with DFx processes
