Co-founded by industry veterans Joe Jimenez, former CEO of Novartis and Mark Fishman, former President of the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, the firm in-licenses promising therapies that for some reason are not advancing toward the clinic. Position Summary
Aditum Bio is seeking a Senior Scientist or Physician-Scientist who will work with the Aditum discovery team and molecular/protein designers in academic institutions to build an AI-driven drug discovery company. Senior Scientist will help to define novel targets, organize appropriate scientific reviews, integrate programs with Aditum physicians and scientists, institute rigorous preclinical testing, and support overall company build. The Scientist will work with an interdisciplinary team, including external academics, consultants, vendors and Aditum Bio leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundamental science and medicine.

The range for this full-time position is $230,000 - 250,000, plus a target bonus, equity compensation and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on our postings reflects the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by interview performance, job-related skills, experience and relevant education and training. Please note the range reflects base salary and does not include target bonus, equity or benefits.
Aditum Bio is also open to considering part time candidates for this position, at a rate range of $175 - $225 per hour.

Position Responsibilities
- Review opportunities for novel AI-driven therapeutics
- Help to design both in vitro and in vivo studies
- Work collaboratively with external academic founders in computational and structural biology to iterate on discovery concepts
- Develop key go, no-go criteria and experiments to quickly advance or kill initial concepts
- Help identify relevant collaborations to advance discovery of novel protein and antibody therapeutics (e.g., academic collaborators, external commercial vendors)
- Work with the Aditum Bio core operating and services team to set up a new company and help build the infrastructure, including contracts and partnerships
- Interface effectively with internal Aditum Bio teams
- Stay up-to-date with and employ emerging advancements in molecular biology and AI, as relates to drug discovery
Qualifications
- PhD or MD or MD/PhD with research experience and publication track record in fundamental biological sciences
- At least 3-5 years of postdoctoral research experience
- Industry experience (pharmaceutical company or biotech) preferred, but not required
- Excellent collaboration skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external
- Strong skills in identifying and resolving critical issues
