We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Sr. Manager for Reliability and Lean Manufacturing to lead the advancement of reliability engineering practices and drive continuous improvement through lean methodologies across our manufacturing operations. This role will champion cross-functional efforts to improve equipment reliability, process capability, product quality, and operational efficiency. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Sr. Manager for Reliability and Lean Manufacturing to lead the advancement of reliability engineering practices and drive continuous improvement through lean methodologies across our manufacturing operations. This role will champion cross-functional efforts to improve equipment reliability, process capability, product quality, and operational efficiency. You Will:
Reliability Engineering:
- Lead the development and implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs to optimize equipment uptime and performance.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) for chronic equipment and process issues.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to establish predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Track and report on key reliability metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Lean Manufacturing:
- Lead lean initiatives to eliminate waste, improve flow, and reduce cycle times across manufacturing processes.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping exercises to drive continuous improvement.
- Coach teams on lean tools and principles including 5S, Standard Work, SMED, Visual Management, and Gemba Walks.
- Develop and monitor performance KPIs tied to lean maturity and operational excellence goals.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of reliability engineers and lean practitioners.
- Establish best practices, processes, and standards for reliability and lean manufacturing.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to align on improvement roadmaps.
- Support capital projects and new equipment commissioning from a reliability and lean perspective.
Your Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles focused on reliability or lean.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing systems and reliability programs in a complex, high-volume production environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in [industry-specific environment, e.g., automotive, medical devices, electronics] preferred
- CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Minitab) preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO, TPM, and Industry 4.0 initiatives preferred.
