Expected pay for this position is $51.09 - $66.87/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Ultrasound Technologist will act as a subject matter expert for the department to include; communication, equipment maintenance, scheduling, and resolving safety, patient and team member concerns. Operates ultrasound equipment to obtain images for use by physicians for the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Positions patients and adjusts ultrasound equipment to correct setting for each examination, manipulates images to create optimal studies, distributes images to the PACS system and may reproduce images on alternate media as necessary.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Completion of a formal Ultrasound certificate or; degree program in Ultrasonography
Experience:
- One year of experience in vascular and/or general ultrasound.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Sonography (ARRT(S)) and at least one specialty area based on specific OSF Entity requirements. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Sonography (ARRT(S)).
- Basic Life Support Certification American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
Experience:
- Three years of experience in vascular and/or general ultrasound Licensure/Certifications: ARDMS RVT
