What can you look forward to doing in this role:
Strategic Planning:
Identifying opportunities to develop new digital manufacturing capabilities across the Earthmoving network, developing a comprehensive digital manufacturing roadmap, and aligning with overall business goals.
Project Leadership:
Engages and collaborates with various stakeholders to lead and facilitate digital manufacturing projects with specific focus on replicable solutions that support performance improvements, sustainable growth and enhance safety and compliance.
Process Optimization:
Using data insights to optimize manufacturing processes, improve quality control, and reduce production costs.
Change Management:
Facilitating change management initiatives to ensure adoption of new digital technologies across the manufacturing workforce.
Integration & Connectivity:
Integrating different digital systems and ensuring seamless data flow between shop floor operations and enterprise systems.
Innovation:
Applies technology in innovative ways. Combines technologies to anticipate or address customer needs; shares solutions across sites; employes proven solutions to increase effectiveness of engineering methodology or manufacturing process. Mentors other by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
Continuous improvement:
Monitoring performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency of digital solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 8+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience. A post-graduate education/degree is desired and may contribute towards the desired years of experience.
Deep understanding Lean Manufacturing, manufacturing operations, industrial automation, data analytics, and relevant digital technologies.
Experience deploying Industry 4.0 technologies
Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex manufacturing challenges through digital solutions.
Interacts well with diverse groups and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
Listens to and understand other's points of view and articulates tactfully and respectfully one's own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.
Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences.
Has demonstrated business acumen.

Travel for this position may be over 25%
The primary location for this position can be in the US, India or Thailand

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
