We are seeking an experienced and energetic Product Manager to join the Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) team to lead the development, enhancement, and execution of our CaaS Platform delivery. This individual will play a key role to shape our platform roadmap and work across the EPEO services organization and with customers alike to drive improvements in the developer experience and platform reliability of the CaaS Platform.
The CaaS team offers upwards of 120 OpenShift (OCP) clusters across Ford's EDCs, China Data Centers, Azure, and GCP to meet our customer application hosting demands across the globe. This role will have opportunity to not only shape and drive our platform roadmap but to gain technical depth to represent our team and platform with customers, peers, and leadership alike.

Responsibilities
- Roadmap Development/Execution:
- In collaboration with engineering and leadership, create and maintain quarterly and annual roadmaps. Deliver and report on execution in partnership with the team
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Represent our team in various cross-functional / program forums, with our customer base, and with our peers who run the foundational services upon which our platform relies (storage, network, compute)
- Customer Engagement:
- Create an on-going feedback loop with our customer base / community. Champion our "Ford K8s User Group" community
- Release Management:
- Coordinate launches of new features through the release lifecycle (Sandbox -> Pre-Prod -> Production)
- Agile / Team Process Improvement:
- Facilitate our team's agile ceremonies (daily stand up, sprint planning, retrospectives, and team demos). Drive process improvements that meet how our engineers best work!
- Day-to-day Operations:
- Partner with leadership and engineering leads to monitor SLA fulfillment for customers and uptime metrics of platforms. Adjusting roadmaps / delivery as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or work equivalency
- 5+ years proven experience in product management for software engineering projects, particularly in developing and enhancing complex platforms
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of observability, monitoring, and related technologies
- 3+ years delivering projects/products heavily reliant on cloud technologies
- Proven track record of building and managing successful engineering teams
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders
- Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making approach
- Prior experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools
- Leadership abilities with a focus on motivating and aligning teams towards a common goal
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges and unexpected issues that may arise
