As a Business Process Analyst, you will be supporting the Business Analytics and Testing Support Team. You will act as the voice of the customer throughout the software development lifecycle, gathering and documenting requirements, conducting analysis, and supporting testing processes. This role requires strong initiative, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work effectively in both Agile and Waterfall environments to ensure business needs are clearly articulated and met.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.

This role requires strong initiative, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work effectively in both Agile and Waterfall environments to ensure business needs are clearly articulated and met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to understand business processes, pain points, and customer needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for business applications and organizational data management.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis to identify and address system deficiencies and business issues.
- Develop and maintain process diagrams, context diagrams, and data flow diagrams (BPMN 2.0).
- Document clear, customer-focused requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Break down traditional requirements into Agile epics, features, and user stories aligned with customer goals.
- Map user stories to system design and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Assist Product Owners with backlog management and ensure prioritization of customer-centric features.
- Define and execute test objectives, plans, and cases; coordinate and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Communicate progress and issues effectively to Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business and data analysis with a customer-focused approach.
- At least 5 years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with strong Scrum knowledge.
- Skilled in backlog management, user story writing, and Agile requirements decomposition.
- Strong data analysis and SQL/database skills in support of business-driven solutions.
- Proficient in defining acceptance criteria and test planning to validate customer requirements.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and/or Jira for work item tracking and development support.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and Project Server.
- Experience working with reporting systems, data warehouses, data lakes, and operational data stores.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer advocacy mindset.
- Preferred certifications include CBAP, PMI-PBA, or PMI-ACP, and experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Cucumber.
