Job Summary
Works collaboratively with departmental and organizational leadership to manage the daily operations of the department or division, ensuring the smooth delivery of healthcare services and overseeing key administrative functions, including human resources, finance, compliance, facilities, and patient services. Provides strategic and operational oversight for a diverse portfolio encompassing education, health equity, faculty affairs, data and analytics, quality and safety, and integration initiatives. Partners closely with the Vice President and other organizational leaders to drive departmental goals, cultivate a culture of excellence, and ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Healthcare Administration preferred or Master's Degree Business Administration preferred or Master's Degree Public Health preferred.
- Progressive leadership in a healthcare setting 8-10+ years required and Progressive leadership in academic medical center 5-7 years preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate effectively.
- Ability to Lead effectively and build team skills. Ability to delegate and effectively supervise and plan for the timely and successful completion of objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills to manage complex projects and initiatives.
- Proficiency in financial systems and data analytics and process improvement tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, financial management, and patient care quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and to accept responsibility for complex and sensitive decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing the overall vision, mission, direction, goals, and objectives.
- Direct the strategic planning process, establishing and achieving long-range goals, and ensuring the implementation of strategic business plans.
- Lead the management team and staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Oversees hiring, training, and retention, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Lead the department's patient experience strategy, aligning with MGB and system-wide initiatives and fostering a culture of patient-centered care.
- Engage with senior leadership to provide financial forecasting, long-term planning, and strategic recommendations. Establish and achieve financial goals and measures, and ensure ongoing financial performance.
- Monitor spending trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements. Monitor and evaluate existing services and ensure the development of programs and services to respond to the market.
- Develop and manage programmatic initiatives for care improvement, cost reduction, and network development. Oversee patient services and care delivery, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. Continually assess and improve the efficiency of systems and processes.
