SUMMARY:

Lightserve Electrical Power Solutions (EPS) is a division of Lightserve Corporation that specializes in electrical projects in the areas of lighting systems, electrical distribution, and standby generation. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee and manage low voltage electrical projects at the program level from inception to completion. This role will be accountable for customer satisfaction, project quality, cost control, and project timeline by working as a team with other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of electrical distribution equipment, and strong project management methodologies. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops a project management plan in conjunction with stakeholders for each project that should include a safety plan, quality plan, and site logistics plan.
  • Actively promotes the safe execution of projects to ensure there are zero jobsite incidents.
  • Manages the subcontractors and suppliers to ensure internal compliance with procurement policies and vendor compliance with contract terms.
  • Manages all financial aspects of a project to ensure that the project meets profitability margins.
  • Proactively prepares and manages a project's budget by forecasting project costs monthly.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with current and potential customers, vendors, and authorities (utility and local).
  • Identifies and takes part in continuing education opportunities to further their individual knowledge and grow the company's reputation.
  • Support the continued development and refinement of processes for site assessment and project execution.
  • Builds and maintains productive relationships with industry and professional networks.
  • Demonstrates accountability and responsibility by completing projects/assignments on time, holding self and others accountable for meeting objectives, and adhering to company standards.
  • Additional job duties/responsibilities as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour Certification or completion within an agreed upon timeline.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of commercial construction or related field of work.
  • Excellent persuasive and effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Quick study with the ability to drill down and identify key drives and communicate insightful, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong negotiation skills in both internal and external settings.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage budgets proactively.
  • Strong organizational ability with daily management of multi-tasking.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in electrical distribution equipment and program management is essential. Related fields may be entertained.
  • Strong understanding of program management principles and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement projects effectively while managing time constraints and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, construction management or electrical engineering.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience with electrical solutions is preferred including UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1008 Transfer Switches, generator systems, and lighting systems.
  • Experience coordinating with utilities and interconnection requirements is a plus.

  • Remote office.
