We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Head of Investment Architecture, to join the BNY Wealth Chief Investment Officer team. This role is located in New York, NY - In Office

In this role, you'll lead the strategic direction and management of the investment product suite for BNY Wealth and make an impact in the following ways:
  • Proactively assess the product/solution offering to identify new solutions and ensure product shelf competitiveness for BNY Wealth clients.
  • Implement an industry-leading advisory platform that enables client acquisition and relationship depth.
  • Build strong relationships with the Wealth advisor field to assess client demand.
  • In partnership with our Head of Investment Strategy and National Director of Portfolio Management, oversee engagement with advisors and help them navigate the investment offering.
  • Create and manage relationships, communications, and access with all asset management partners, including negotiation of economics to deliver excellent commercial outcomes.
  • Monetize the product shelf by creating enhanced value in the Wealth ecosystem while also enabling added capabilities for advisors.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Extensive knowledge of alternatives including private equity, credit, real estate and hedge funds, as well as luxury assets.
  • Deep understanding of investment structures and vehicles for taxable investors across closed and open-ended vehicles, in addition to SMAs, ETFs, structured products, and insurance for UHNW clients and Family Offices.
  • Successfully driven platform and product adoption through advisors and built repeatable scalable processes through technology tools and software resources to meet the needs of advisors and clients.
  • Experience operating within private bank and broker dealer business models.
  • Deep understanding of advisor needs and proficiency in developing effective strategies and business plans for client accounts.
  • Strong presentation skills, and an effective communicator with executive presence who can translate market and investment strategies for advisors and clients.
  • Significant experience in public speaking.
  • A track record of building and managing high-performing teams.

Our Benefits and Rewards:

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $153,800 and $284,600 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
