Description:
The Associate Director of Enterprise Applications provides leadership and direction for enterprise applications at Hamilton College, with a primary focus on Workday and other critical business systems. This position supervises a team of business analysts and other technical experts who work closely with college departments to support and implement business processes through enterprise applications. The Associate Director ensures the effective deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of these applications to meet institutional needs.
The role requires a combination of technical expertise, supervisory experience, and a strong understanding of enterprise applications, with an emphasis on Workday. The Associate Director collaborates with stakeholders across the college to optimize business processes, improve data integration, and ensure system efficiency.
This is an exempt position with a pay range of $110,000 - $130,000.

Oversee the management and enhancement of Workday and other enterprise applications
Collaborate with campus stakeholders on business process optimization and system improvements

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Enterprise Applications team
- Supervise and mentor business analysts and other team members, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage team priorities, workload, and project timelines to ensure timely delivery of support and enhancements.
- Foster collaboration between technical staff and functional users to improve system functionality and user experience.
- Establish and maintain best practices for enterprise application support, configuration, and documentation.
- Serve as a member of the Enterprise Information Systems leadership team, along with two other Associate Directors and the Director to help make strategic and managerial decisions for the department.
Oversee the management and enhancement of Workday and other enterprise applications
- Serve as the technical and functional expert for Workday, leading operation, governance, configuration, security, and business process design.
- Work closely with campus departments to assess system needs, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement enhancements.
- Ensure system integrations between Workday and other enterprise applications operate effectively.
- Troubleshoot issues, coordinate upgrades, and manage change control processes.
- Other applications under the supervision of this position include OnBase, Blackboard Transact, Salesforce, Starfish, and various other mission-critical third party cloud/SaaS applications.
Collaborate with campus stakeholders on business process optimization and system improvements
- Partner with departments such as Human Resources, Finance, Student Services, and Academic Affairs to align technology solutions with institutional goals.
- Provide guidance on best practices for leveraging enterprise applications to streamline operations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement new applications, modules, and enhancements.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance
- Enforce policies for data governance, user access, and system security.
- Work with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure enterprise applications meet regulatory and institutional standards.
