Our Oilsands Finance team is seeking a new team member with strong data analytics & data modeling skills. You'll have the opportunity to influence change & drive improved reporting & process automation that supports performance analysis, stewardship, and business planning that help drive cost and finance process improvement.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant financial & analytical experience
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, accounting, economics, or other relevant education
  • Working towards or possess a recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA)
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with SAP and Microsoft tools
  • Experience in data modelling software (ex. Power BI, Tableau, SAP SAC)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational & interpersonal skills


Responsibilities:
  • Build & analyse monthly stewardship reporting, and support key financial processes
  • Provide coordination & analysis support for the Oil Sands business planning process
  • Use data analytics tools & techniques to drive improvements in Oil Sands reporting
  • Develop an understanding of Oil Sands financial planning data models & support improvements
  • Develop an understanding of Oil Sands financial picture, key business drivers and business challenges
  • Identify & participate in broader performance improvement projects


Location and other key details:
  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
  • This position is security sensitive which requires you to clear a criminal history check
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
