The project manager - renewable generation plans, develops, budgets and directs short and long-term renewable projects within MidAmerican Energy Company. This role will be responsible for implementation of projects at renewable generating facilities in a manner that is safe, compliant, cost effective and timely. Projects may involve multiple site locations and involve tens of millions in expenditure.

Responsibilities

Develops project plans, provides direction and coordinates project activities associated with capital investments and process improvement projects at renewable generating facilities, including new facility construction (40%).

Maintain strict safety and regulatory compliance while completing work activities within targeted schedule time frames and budgets (20%).

Conducts periodic progress meetings and provides periodic progress reports for assigned projects (10%).

Administers contracts associated with major projects at renewable generating facilities (20%).

Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned (10%).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent work experience (typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree).

Four years of renewable generation project experience, project management and/or engineering.

Six years of renewable generation project experience, project management and/or engineering required for the project manager role.

Eight years of renewable generation project experience, project management and/or engineering required for the senior project manager role.

At least two years of experience in a senior technical or leadership role is preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.

Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
