About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled System Administrator with experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing infrastructure, system performance, and security in a cloud-based environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving our cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain Linux/Windows servers.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud systems by applying best practices.
- Troubleshoot system and network issues, ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance.
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and failover solutions.
- Monitor system usage and resource utilization, providing recommendations for optimization.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support deployment and maintenance of applications.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect).
- Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
