JOB PURPOSE:
Oversight of construction related project planning, design and construction for Piedmont Healthcare, Inc. Oversees preparation, submittal, and updates relating to construction related programs and initiatives. Assures program management and oversight of major construction programs. Manages program management staff working on construction projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. In partnership with Vice President and Project Accountable Executive, assures the accomplishment of major construction projects and implementation of Master Plan initiatives across Piedmont Healthcare, Inc.
2. Responsible for establishing job standards for direct reports and effectively evaluating staff under charge in accordance with Piedmont policies.
3. Assists with the development of annual capital budgets across Piedmont.
4. Assures the preparation of complex statements of work; plans and specifications, and solicitation documents and reviews the same.
5. Assures the preparation of request for proposals, invitations for bids, and related formal solicitation documents.
6. May serve as the contract administrator/senior project manager on major construction projects under charge.
7. Assures the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and design and construction standards to assure conformance with design criteria and compatibility with existing facility/campus features.
8. In partnership with VP and legal department, coordinates and oversees the solicitation of professional services contracts including Project Managers.
9. Serves as advisor to the VP and lead administrator for facility related code compliance and regulatory issues relating to construction and renovation.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A Bachelors Degree from a recognized college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a closely related. Masters Degree preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least Ten (10) years of experience in Healthcare Construction Management, Engineering, or closely related field with at least Three (3) to Five (5) years of that time working in a leadership capacity.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
A professional license or credential consistent with the work (PE, CCM, PMP, or LEED AP BD C) is preferred.
