Your Impact

Regulatory Engineering is looking for a Production Engineer, where you will be responsible for supporting the Regulatory Reporting global platforms, owning and working on projects to uplift the production platforms, managing Technical Risk changes, deploying software, and building and deploying production support and observability tools. The Production Engineering team works closely with each other across multiple regions, with Regulatory Operations, Regulatory Engineering, Platform Teams, and Infrastructure Teams providing digital solution to business problems. You will work with some of the best minds in the industry and get an opportunity to interact with various Operations and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are looking for a Production Support Associate who will play a key role in driving incident and problem management of complex issues and working on transformational projects. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are key. We expect you to constructively volunteer reasoned views and opinions in different team forums, both technically and functionally. You will lead initiatives where you will extend or lay the foundation of new production engineering solutions. Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting complex applications and processes in a commercial environment.
  • Prior experience supporting data driven, high availability critical systems.
  • Experience with multiple high throughput transactional databases (+1MM transaction per day) and high-volume database warehouses (> 1TB), including SAP IQ, Sybase ASE and DB2.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Demonstrate a track record of delivering transformational changes to production.
  • environments including stability, observability, capacity, and technical uplift projects.
  • Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a production problem.
  • Ability to work on multiples tasks in parallel.
  • Problem solving in a production environment, including experience in identifying patterns, analyzing root cause and proposing solutions to resolve issues.
  • Experience in Java and Unix.
  • Experienced in collaborating in global teams and possesses strong interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Git and awareness of other modern SDLC practices.
  • Experience of deploying complex software projects.
  • Experience in modern message-oriented middleware, e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ or similar technologies.
  • Competence in analysing and debugging applications, for example Java/Python, scheduling tools, HDFS/Data Lake, Cloud technologies will be desirable.
