Salary: $180-200k DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust backend systems and services that power our applications. This role requires a deep understanding of backend technologies and cloud services, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python and frameworks like Flask and FastAPI.
• Implement and optimize cloud-based solutions on AWS and GCP to ensure high availability and performance.
• Work with large language models (LLMs) to integrate advanced functionalities into our products.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to define and implement APIs that meet the needs of the applications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers on best practices and development standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the backend systems, ensuring seamless integration with other services.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall system design and technology strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Python.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• Experience with building and deploying APIs using Flask and FastAPI.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their applications in software development.
• Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
