Position Overview
The Associate Product Manager plays a pivotal role within LifeStraw's product management and development team, project managing activities between product ideation and go-to-market initiatives. This position involves ongoing review of the product line, focusing on its details and strategic direction, while collaborating with various departments across the organization, both domestically and internationally, as well as with external partners to bring new products to the market.
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for managing the product line with a consumer-centric approach, striving to enhance product performance and user experience. This position will be based in Baltimore, Maryland, and will report to the Director of Product.

What You'll Be Doing - The Essentials
- Manage the development activities necessary to bring new products to market, adhering to and tracking project schedule and delivering projects to market on time.
- Work collaboratively in a global environment, coordinating with suppliers and colleagues across multiple time zones to ensure seamless communication and timely project delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, engineering, and other teams to support the development of multi-year product pipeline, identifying new market opportunities using data and consumer feedback.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on our products and our technology, providing product information and knowledge to support cross-functional teams.
- Define product specifications and prioritize features based on business and customer impact.
- Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions for improvements and enhancements.
- Conduct comprehensive quarterly market analysis in each segment to assess emerging trends, shifts in consumer needs, and potential growth opportunities, using findings to refine and support the strategic product pipeline.
- Perform quarterly competitor analysis in each market segment, monitoring existing and emerging competitors, new product launches, and technological advancements, and providing actionable insights for strategy adjustments to maintain a competitive edge.
- Support development of retail packaging, instruction manuals, product copy, and other assets.
- Creation of sales tools and PowerPoints of the product pipeline.

Experience and Education Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or related field. PMP, or other project management credentials are a nice to have.
- At least 3 years' experience in product management or a related role, preferably in Retail or CPG sectors.
- Experience in all elements of the product development life cycle, with a track record to launch products into the market.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Experience working with engineers, or other technical roles.
- Experience working on a global landscape, with co-located teams in varying time zones.
- Passion for consumer products and understanding of market dynamics.
- Flexibility to travel up to 15% of time.
