The FLEX Senior Manager, Business Process Validation (BPV) is a critical role on the BPV team, providing support for role-based, front-end user validation of our future state systems of Marriott's enterprise-wide Digital + Technology Transformation (D+TT). The Sr. Manager's responsibility will be to support testing readiness, alignment across workstreams, and role-based business process test execution validating the applications work as intended for both our associates and guests.

This position will be part of the BTO team that supports the transformation of Marriott's technology and business process ecosystem, enabling Marriott to deliver on our vision to become the world's favorite travel company. The BTO has been established to enable and accelerate D+TT through unique approaches to strategic planning, program management, change management, experience and business process design, business testing, and deployment.

This role will work closely with the other BPV workstreams, Quality Engineering, discipline teams, and subject matter experts on testing readiness, tester onboarding, and end-to-end business process test execution for each deployment community. The role will help define test data, align the data to the individual tests, onboard new testers, provision tester access, and facilitate the hand-off of test information between testers. This position will assist in test scheduling and resequencing tests including retesting after issues are resolved. The role will also help validate readiness prior to each testing cycle and will perform testing, as needed. The role will also help drive standardization and find efficiencies that can be implemented for future communities.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education & Experience Required
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major and 4+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance; or
  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience in business, sales & marketing or related professional area, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.


Experience & Skills Preferred
  • Five + years of Lodging/hospitality industry experience
  • Five + years of data analysis experience and successfully implementing new strategies that enhance performance and align with overall company objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills for planning, synthesizing data, and monitoring program/project work.
  • Ability to work with large data sets, provide analysis, and recommended actions.
  • Ability to monitor progress against deliverables and ensure completion of work.
  • Ability to monitor results on an ongoing basis against pre-determined metrics.
  • Ability to work with project team members and stakeholders to create transparency and share findings, best practices, and efficiencies.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, Jira, Zephyr, and Smart Sheet preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing complexity and ambiguity.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and move projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to focus on details and maintaining alignment with broader organization objectives.
  • Ability to complete deliverables with high quality and up to established standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Support the Director of BPV Test Execution on the tester onboarding process and development of the final test sequencing.
  • Develop training materials to facilitate the test execution process by front-end, non-technical users
  • Execute test case scripts validating end to end business processes using the future state systems and functionality.
  • Submits defects in the tracking system and monitors status of fixes for retesting.
  • Provide analysis of business process coverage to identify gaps in the test plan.
  • Assist with test case scheduling and act as a liaison for SMEs and other flex staff testers.
  • Support development of test data requirements, requests, and alignment to the test cases.
  • Utilize tools available to track progress (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Representative for Business Process Validation and able to pull through and amplify core Program messages.
  • Maintains required technical knowledge and skills needed to carry out daily work.
  • Support best practices, methods, processes, tools, and templates for successful execution of DTT and other efforts
  • Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.


The pay range for this position is $52.06 to $78.80 per hour.
