The Senior Systems Architect plays a crucial role in delivering efficient, scalable, secure billing & commerce solutions. This position involves owning the design, development, and implementation of innovative billing & commerce systems tailored to meet T-Mobile's business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of commerce, Amdocs products, billing processes, and enterprise-level architecture, ensuring that the solutions provided are both ground breaking and reliable.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business, product, and cross-domain IT architects to gather and analyze requirements for wireless billing solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive solution flow diagrams applying Lucid charts to ensure seamless end-to-end visualization and understanding of processes.
  • Craft and develop scalable, efficient, and secure billing & commerce architecture solutions.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of billing & commerce solutions, ensuring alignment with T-Mobile's goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
  • Resolve sophisticated technical issues related to billing & commerce systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in billing & commerce technologies.
  • Ensure work meets our high standards for enterprise standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Present technical concepts and solutions to clients and partners in an understandable manner.
  • Compile, develop, and deliver architectural guardrails; influence collaborators and ensure compliance with architectural guardrails within many technology domains that support the needs of project teams to reliably launch marketing application improvements.
  • Drive the evolution of infrastructure, processes, products, and services by convincing customers and collaborators
  • Mentor team members on standard processes in area of expertise. Grasp and communicate big-picture enterprise-wide issues to team. Lead the architects and the rest of the team members in the team in mentoring them around the areas of their function
  • Serve as a domain expert to guide technology strategy by convincing decision makers across multiple domains and working with Architects in each domain
  • Work with business teams and technical analysts to understand business requirements. Determine how to demonstrate technology to build solutions that satisfy the business requirements.
  • Serve as a technical resource for business teams to help define, estimate and recommend optimized solutions for business opportunities.
  • Build architecture and technical design documents to communicate solutions that will be implemented by the development team.
  • Build Mid Level Design (MLD) in support of Enterprise Projects and present MLD to senior leadership during Capital Assessment reviews.
  • Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows using Lucid charts.
  • Work with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation of solution.
  • Present solutions to clients, project teams, and other collaborators adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail, time management, work prioritization, multi-tasking, estimate tasks, on-time work and task delegation & follow up
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of sophisticated applications
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to define service delivery landscape

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience. (Required)

Work Experience:
  • 4-7 years Experience with enterprise level database systems such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server or others, emphasis on Teradata. (Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in Billing & Commerce domain: Deep knowledge of billing & commerce platforms, such as Amdocs, and their integration into enterprise systems.(Required)
  • System Integration: Ability to seamlessly integrate various systems and technologies while maintaining data integrity.(Preferred
  • Architectural Knowledge: Proficiency in designing scalable, reliable, and secure system architectures.(Preferred)
  • Cloud Solutions: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Programming Skills: Understanding of programming languages and software development practices.

Business Skills:
  • Business Insight: Ability to align IT strategies with business goals and understand the financial implications of technical decisions.
  • Project Management: Skills to manage timelines, resources, and project scopes effectively.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to translate technical details into business language and communicate effectively with partners.
  • Leadership: Capability to lead teams and mentor junior architects.

Base Pay Range: $102,000 - $184,000

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
