The Director of Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement (EBA) serves as a Senior Human Resources Team member and plans, manages, and executes various human resource programs as an individual contributor and as part of departmental and interdepartmental teams and workgroups. The Director is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and stewarding all DEI strategies, organizational support, programming, analytics, and initiatives. The Director works with senior leadership to identify objectives, timelines, benchmarks, and action plans regarding EBA and other programs across the organization and within individual components. The Director chairs the EBA Council and ensures that it is engaged in a manner that advances Vinfen's EBA objectives. The Director is responsible for the collection and analysis of data as well as producing reports and narratives as requested. The Director works with the Director of Training, the Chief People Officer, and other stakeholders to identify and develop training and coaching resources that advance EBA objectives across all employee groups. Working collaboratively with HR leadership, Training, and divisional leadership, this individual develops and drives forward strategic initiatives that embed diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, promote employee development, increase employee engagement, improve retention, and bolster Vinfen as an employer of choice and a culture that lives its mission.
  • Develops and champions Vinfen's Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement initiatives. This includes analysis of needs, program design and potential, development of materials and programming, creation of metrics and analytical tools, and stewardship of the program.
  • Heads the Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement Council; ensures its productivity, sustainability, and relevance to the Vinfen Mission.
  • Drives all Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement programming and the development of materials and tools. This includes research, development, and implementation of innovative Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement programs, including skill-building training sessions, workshops, drop-in meetings on timely Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement issues, and awareness campaigns.
  • Advises senior leaders on Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement strategies and employee engagement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
  • Provides coaching to individual employees on Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement -related issues.
  • Performs analytical and project planning work to enable the organization to make informed decisions and successfully utilize resources to complete Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement initiatives.
  • Independently builds and maintains relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and other external partners to support and advance the agency's Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement initiatives.
  • Assesses and suggests revisions to Vinfen's policies to ensure they reflect Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement best practices and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Uses outreach mechanisms such as SurveyMonkey to create, distribute, and analyze surveys.
  • Produces reports and analytics related to Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement of company objectives and identifies key areas for action.
  • Works collaboratively with administrative and operational stakeholders to foster the growth and embedding of Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement into Vinfen culture, including Talent Acquisition
  • Collaborate with the Director of Training and Development on the design, development, and implementation of Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement -related courses and materials for managers and employees generally.
  • Produces articles, updates, and materials to support Engagement, Belonging, and Advancement programming.
  • Serves as part of organizational workgroups and committees, as assigned; provides input and leadership in designated areas of responsibility.
  • Serves as a member of the Human Resources Management Team; works collaboratively with other departmental leadership; provides input regarding best practices in handling issues and projects.

A Bachelor's degree in a human resources-related discipline is required. Additional training or certification in or degree in EBA, business, organization development, coaching, communications, or a related field is highly desired. A master's degree or similar is preferred.

At least ten years of progressive, well-rounded human resources experience with at least five years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience should include developing, launching, and sustaining a comprehensive EBA initiative, enhancing the employee experience, organizational change, training & development, and similar discipline.
  • Experience working in the human services or non-profit sector.
