Pay Range: $34.89 - $56.78 per hour

Summary:
Manages the daily operations of a clinic. Responsibilities include staff management, template management, and general administration. Operations Manager position requires a motivated, well-organized, and conscientious individual who can manage multiple tasks at the same time. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Two years of healthcare experience.
Expert knowledge of duties performed in the area of responsibility.
Thorough knowledge of the ideal patient flow.
Knowledge of revenue cycle requirements.
Leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Very good written and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Competent in Microsoft Office.
Ability to implement change and maintain results.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Works effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Management experience in ambulatory/outpatient environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Manages patient/clinic flow including physician schedules, check-in and check-out processes, time of service and payments on account, patient communications, referrals and pre-authorizations, coordination and management of surgical workflows and other operational duties necessary to ensure smooth operations.
2. Manages staff including hiring, on-boarding, coaching, counseling and performance reviews, as well as managing day-to-day activities such as payroll, staffing, communications and related activities.
3. Serves as liaison to clinical staff, hospital departments, Rush Health and other departments as appropriate to organize, coordinate and ensure timely and accurate completion of all required processes.
4. Oversees collections activities and offices expenses to meet budget targets.
5. Ensures the clinic has appropriate medical, pharmaceutical and office supplies.
6. Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies; proper maintenance of medical records; and the administration of clinical trials.
7. Ensures all office equipment is functioning and maintained in an appropriate manner.
8. Promotes a positive and productive environment, encourages teamwork and communication.
9. Acts as a role model for practice standards related to customer service.
10. Assures achievement by staff of RUMG Customer Service and Performance Standards.
11. Works with the marketing department at Rush to educate the community and market Rush both locally and throughout the Chicago land area.
12. Works to establish cooperative working relationships with program physicians, nurses, referral sources and ancillary departments as well as hospital administration and related agencies to provide seamless patterns of referral and patient care.
13. Other duties as assigned.
