Job Description

This role (P&C Manager, Systems & Support) is assessed as a Remote position requiring minimal days in the office (0-1 days per week) unless business demands require. This role is also eligible for compressed work week.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Employee and Labour Relations, People & Culture, the Manager Systems and Support, People & Culture is responsible for pension and benefits administration and managing all Kinark's human capital systems, analytics, and reporting, and overseeing data integrity.
Responsibilities include implementing, maintaining, and providing ongoing management of Kinark's human capital systems, including oversight of system upgrades and system optimization projects. This position also manages pension and benefits program administration, People and Culture reporting, data analysis, policy interpretation and administration, and manages data input to support payroll processing. This position is responsible for leadership to a small team of People and Culture Coordinators.
This is a temporary full-time position with a contract length of 18 months.
Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Oversee daily team operations and ensure high quality People and Culture service to support the needs of employees and managers
Lead a team and oversee day-to-day accountabilities to provide effective and efficient support to Kinark employees, including HR systems training, provision of job aids and communications to ensure end-user understanding of processes and HRIS.
Oversee the quality of customer service provided, including oversight of service desk functionality, education, configuration and metrics; monitor, and evaluate customer service satisfaction and identify and implement improvement opportunities.
Define requirements, and manage core HR Systems, including configurations, user acceptance testing, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to implement upgrades and optimization projects; manage third party partner relationships.
Develop and maintain HRIS standards and controls to ensure data integrity and HRIS functionality by resolving problems and recommending solutions to meet requirements.
Manage and effectively implement human capital system initiatives, programs or policies aligned to Kinark's strategic vision. Act as project lead or subject matter expert; prepare project plans and acquire appropriate resources.
Oversee Pension and Benefits Program Administration and Salary Band Structure
Execute strategies related to employee benefit and pension programs that drive business results and improve the employee experience.
Oversee the administration of Kinark's multiple salary band structure, including bonus plans and incentives, as well as all benefits and pension plans, including liaising with third party providers, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Participate in annual benefits plan renewal; recommend and execute against plan enhancements/changes, to support provision of a competitive total reward package and fiscally sound business decision.
Oversee disability claim administration (STD and LTD) for all employees; liaise with external insurance provider to ensure employee is supported through disability claim process; ensure claim documents are up to date.
Drive People and Culture metrics and analytical reporting to improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness
Be a strategic partner through leveraging HR system data to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Consult with relevant stakeholders to identify and create meaningful, real-time reports to support decision making on workforce planning and employee experience enhancement.
Build and analyze scheduled and ad hoc reports and make strategic recommendations based on analysis outcome.
Work in collaboration with other People and Culture managers, to recommend, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and programs to optimize the management of workplace matters such as sick leave, usage of vacation entitlement, attendance management, turnover etc.
Participate as a key management member to lead a high performing People and Culture team
Lead and manage a team of People and Culture professionals providing ongoing guidance, direction, coaching, development, and ensuring direct reports are properly trained. Develop and sustain a supportive team environment, providing clear expectations, performance measures and feedback.
Qualifications:
University Degree and/or post graduate certificate in Human Resources Management or related discipline.**
5 years progressive experience in HR (considerable position relevant experience required).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role.
In depth knowledge and experience in HR data analytics.
Proficiency in HR Information Systems including query development and report functionality; experience with PeopleSoft, Kronos and Deltek a strong asset.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents, including strong writing and presentation skills.
Proficiency in analyzing/manipulating data (Excel) and report writing.
Strong working knowledge of HR/employment legislation.
Strong working knowledge of policy and collective agreement interpretation and administration.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Strong priority, organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Project Management training or certification an asset.
