The Discovery Tech team helps customers discover and engage with new, popular and relevant products across Amazon worldwide. We do this by combining technology, science, innovation and creativity to build new customer-facing features and experiences alongside tools for marketers. You will be responsible for creating and building critical services that automatically generate, target, and optimize Amazon's cross-category marketing and merchandising. Through the enablement of intelligent marketing campaigns that leverage machine-learning models, you will help to deliver the best possible shopping experience for Amazon's customers all over the globe.

We are looking for a Principal PMT to lead multiple critical workstreams that will transform how customers discover and engage with products through Amazon Search. This role will drive innovation across search ranking, gifting, seasonal events, and collection-based discovery experiences, working closely with multiple teams to deliver significant business impact. This role offers exceptional visibility and impact, working directly with senior leadership to shape the future of Amazon's search and discovery experience.

Key job responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
\tOwn the strategic vision, experimentation roadmap, and KPIs across multiple high-impact search innovation workstreams
\tLead cross-functional initiatives to enhance product discovery and search relevance through new signals, collections, and seasonal experiences
\tWork closely with stakeholders across Search, Marketing, and Advertising teams to align on business objectives and technical trade-offs
\tOwning strategic planning to achieve business objectives and define product vision, experimentation roadmap, and comprehensive balanced KPIs to measure impact and progress.
\tMentoring, ensuring organizational health and career development within your organization
\tWorking closely with software managers, engineers and business stakeholders across different teams on a daily basis to define system architecture, elaborate user stories and discuss business and technical trade-offs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
- Strong business and technical vision; candidate has shaped a complex technical program before.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in product management of multiple initiatives with competing priorities and influencing multiple diverse stakeholders (business, tech).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
